“ A great place to visit! Local people... the owner is a real character, gave us a lot of information about what to do in the area, plus really good food, and at a very good price. The place that you are looking for if looking for something authentic. Higly recommended. ”
“ It’s a place for the locals with some occasional tourists, who made their homework. I had a menu del dia and then added pulpo (octopus), as I had to try it. Everything was great. Even a simple leg of chicken with French fries (which I never eat) were very good, as the leg had lots of meat and fries were not dry or burned and seemed like not from the frozen stuff. Lemon mouse, as part of the menu, was incredible, as it was not too sweet and just perfect. The owner doesn’t speak English, but he has a menu in English and some folks at the bar helped with details. Highly recommend! ”
“ I had such a fun dining experience here. The owner (I’m assuming it was the owner) is a wonderfully warm and friendly man. And very proud of Galicia, the food, the history etc. The place clearly has a lot of regulars, based of the banter and laughter I was witnessing and I can understand why. As for the food - I didn’t ask to see the menu. I had wanted the Menu del Dia, but as it was now evening, this wasn’t available. I said I wanted a salad and a lot of meat, and this exactly what I got. And it was delish!! It won’t win awards for presentation, and the street isn’t scenic, but if I return to Pontevedra, I will return here for sure. ”
“ What a place! A real treat for anyone who wants to get a taste of local, Galician food in a very down to earth tavern surrounded by locals with a fantastic owner who does it all himself! Best pulpo i’ve ever had and best meal on the Camino. Muchas gracias, amigo! Hasta la proxima! ”
“ We have had two fantastic meals here. The staff are very friendly and you get a true Galician experience ”
